23 January 2019

The Octinion Group has just opened its branch in Roeselare, strategically located in the "Food Valley". Octinion Agriculture will introduce innovative mechatronic products in the agricultural sector.

The ambition of Octinion Agriculture is clear: being the world leader in agricultural robotics. The first products of the branch will be presented in early 2019 already, for example the world's first strawberry picking robot will be presented during Fruit Logistica in Berlin. Octinion Agriculture focuses on product development in agriculture and food, which is a logical consequence of the developments within the Octinion Group. Tom Coen, CEO of the Octinion Technology Group: "next to our Leuven branch where we bring all our R&D activities together, we needed a branch that can fully focus on the applications, so translating the needs of our clients into actual products and solutions."

The search for the right location brought the team to Roeselare, "a city that understands the full scope of food production and processing," states Didier Verhaeghe, Division Manager of Octinion Agriculture, "the importance of being close to clients and partners is crucial." The team currently consists of 8 engineers, but it's planning on growing fast.
